Chicago Citation Guide Examples: 16th Edition

Components of an Chicago-style Research Paper

This guide is representative of the 16th Edition.

The Chicago Style offers two types of citation styles: the bibliography style and the reference list style.

This guide assists with the bibliography style.

Your Chicago-style research paper should have the following parts (check with your professor).

1. Chicago-style title page

2. The paper with correct margins, in-text citations, etc.

3. The Notes page(s)   <--Footnotes is another option

4. The Bibliography

Regarding the Chicago style and Turabian, they are the same. Kate L. Turabian's "A Manual for Writers" is based on the Chicago style.
