The EFSC Libraries provide access to a variety of surgical technology resources. This guide describes how to find books, articles, drug information, videos, practice tests and more! Use this as a starting point for your research.

Library Orientation

EFSC Student ID/Library Card

Your library card allows for check out of library materials and serves as your identification card at EFSC.  You may also use the Card to receive discounts from local theaters and other establishments.

Get your card at any campus library Circulation Desk.  Bring a copy of your current course schedule and a photo ID. 

Currently enrolled EFSC students can ride Space Coast Area Transit buses for free if they have an EFSC issued sticker attached to their Student ID/Library Card.  Note the following:

  • Stickers are valid for one academic term only
  • Student must have a student ID/library card, either BCC or EFSC
  • Student must be currently enrolled

Group Study Area

eReaders for Checkout

What Comes With an eReader:

When you check out an eReader, it comes packaged in a zippered carrying case containing the following:

  • The requested Kindle
  • Leather cover
  • USB cable and power adapter
  • e-Reader Information Handout

How It Works:.

  • Kindles may be picked up and checked out in person at the Circulation Desk during the libraries' normal operating hours.
  • Each eReader may be loaned for 3 weeks.  Due to limited supply, no renewals are allowed.
  • You will be required to complete and sign an Equipment Loan Agreement annually.
  • You are responsible for loss, theft, or damage to the Kindle and accessories.
  • Late fees are $1 per day.
  • No additional content should be added to the eReader.
  • Please do not register the eReader with a personal credit card to purchase items. 
  • Please be kind to the next student and return the device fully charged.
  • The device, carrying case and accessories should be returned in person at the Circulation Desk of the loaning library.
  • Please do not return the device in any outside or inside drop-boxes.
