Kindles for Check-out at Campus Libraries

eReaders @ the EFSC Libraries

Check-out a Kindle and start reading hundreds of your favorite books, including titles from EFSC faculty reading lists and popular best sellers. All eReaders have WiFI access. All current EFSC students, faculty, and staff are eligible to borrow an eReader.

What Comes With an e-Reader:

When you check-out an eReader, it comes in a zippered carrying bag, with:

  • eReader in a case or otterbox
  • USB cable and power adapter
  • Information handout

How It Works:

  • Kindles are checked-out in person at the circulation desk.
  • Reserve a Kindle online and pick up at your campus library.
  • Check-out period is 3 weeks.
  • You are required to complete and sign an Equipment Loan Agreement annually.
  • You are responsible for loss, theft, or damage to equipment and accessories.
  • Late fees are $1 per day.
  • At this time, no additional content should be downloaded to the e-Reader.
  • Please do not register the e-Reader with a personal credit card to purchase items.
  • Be kind to the next student and return the eReader fully charged.
  • The eReader, carrying case, and other accessories should be returned in person at the circulation desk of the loaning library.
  • Please do not return the device in any drop-box, outside or inside. Borrowers are liable for damages.

Reserve a Kindle

You may reserve an eReader online for pickup at the library.

Select this shortcut: Kindle to go to the library catalog. The search parameters are already defined, so all you do is select Location (see screen example below). You will see which eReaders are available by campus (location) and can complete your reservation. It's that easy.

You may also call to check availability of eReaders at each campus library:

  • Cocoa, 321-433-7250
  • Melbourne, 321-433-5575
  • Palm Bay, 321-433-5270
  • Titusville, 321-433-5066
