Searching the Library Catalog for Books

Campus libraries have books available about math and math related topics.

Use the steps below to find books in the library catalog

Type your keywords into the search bar and limit your search to the library catalog.

For physical books (underneath the title, author, and publishing date), the record lists which campus the item is available at and the call number.

Click on the title for more details about the book and its table of contents.

Requesting a Book from a Different Campus

Need a book from another campus? No problem! 

Locate the book you need and open the record. On the left, select "Get It", then "Request"

Choose your pick up location and send the request.

When your book arrives, the library will call you and let you know. Usually books take a few days to arrive between campuses. 

Finding eBooks in the Catalog

Finding eBooks is just as easy as finding books. 

Start by opening the catalog either directly or using the library resources icon available on your myEFSC page.

After beginning a search use the filters on the left to narrow search to eBooks. Under "Availability" select "Available Online" and under "Resource Type" select "Book". Then click "Apply Filter".

Choose an eBook and then click the "Available Online" link

Under "Full text availability", you will see the link to open the eBook

Here is an example of what and EBSCO eBook looks like when you click the link. There is a detailed record of the book, the option to Access Now which opens a PDF of the book, table of contents and tools along the top that make it easier to locate the book again.

Select "Access now (eBook)" to read the eBook. On this page you can use the table of contents to jump to different sections of the book. There is also an option to email pages or chapters of the book to yourself in the share icon on the upper right.
