Where to find primary sources

The following subpages list the kinds of materials that are considered primary sources for each discipline and also where to locate these sources within the EFSC Library website.

Here, too, are three great websites to check when searching generally for Primary Sources (e.g., not for a specific discipline):

  Primary sources from libraries and archives across the United States. Search by keyword, location, or date.

• Smithsonian Institution

  Search the Smithsonian Institution's collections for digitized images, video and sound files.

• World Digital Library

  This collection includes high-quality digitized primary sources from around the world. Search by location, date, topic, or type of item.
