Google Web Search

When searching Google, be sure to evaluate your search results and select only reliable sources of information.

Sometimes it is helpful to use the Advanced Search screen to:

  • limit your results to websites from a certain domain:
    • .edu educational institution
    • .gov government agency
  • limit where your keywords appear on the web page:
    • in the title of the page
    • in the URL of the page

On the Google results screen, click on Related Searches to see suggestions for other searches. You may find an alternative keyword to use in your search.
