Faculty Library Guide

What are Research Guides, Anyway?

What are these items called "Research Guides"?

They are communication tools in which Librarians share subject resources to help students and faculty learn new material.

Another name for these Guides is "LibGuides," so you know.

FYI:  Springshare is the name of the third-party vendor from which EFSC Librarians license this LibGuides software.

What They Look Like

What will you see when you click on a specific EFSC Research Guide?

You will see a list of Tabs on the left side, with a main Reading pane in the middle.

The Tabs can be clicked into and out of, depending on what you are looking for.
  • Are you looking for information about specific "Library Resources for Faculty"?  Click on that tab first.
  • Do you want to know what a "Permalink" is and why and how you should use those?  Click on that tab.
  • Looking for "Information Literacy Videos" to use in your class?  Click on that tab.

The main Reading Pane contains the actual information Librarians have gathered for you, to help you learn something new or to help you locate information on our website, etc.
