College-wide Speech Research Guide

5. Citing & Plagiarism

Your instructor will let you know which citation style to follow for citing your sources.

[MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.]

When conducting research, maintain a record of all your source's citation elements.

[author, title, publication information, etc.]

Then compare your citation elements with an example and replicate the format exactly.

[element order, punctuation, capitalization, spacing, & font]
